Body recomposition, explained

Fat loss and weight loss are not the same goal. What changes, what to measure, and why the scale lies.

Most men who say "I want to lose weight" do not actually want to lose weight. They want to look stronger and leaner. Those are different projects, and mixing them up is why so many plans fail by month two.

Weight loss vs fat loss

The scale measures everything at once: fat, muscle, water, the food still in your stomach. When it drops fast, a large part of what you lost is water and muscle — the exact thing that makes a body look built.

Fat loss is narrower and better: reduce fat while keeping the muscle. The scale moves slower, and the mirror moves faster.

What recomposition means

Body recomposition is doing two things in the same period:

The result is a body that weighs almost the same but looks visibly different. This is why progress photos of recomposition often show a bigger change than the scale does.

Why the scale lies to you

One weigh-in means nothing. A weekly average, measured under the same conditions, means something.

What to measure instead

  1. Waist — same spot, same time of day, once a week.
  2. A weekly weight average — daily weigh-ins averaged, not judged one by one.
  3. Strength numbers — if your lifts hold or climb while the waist shrinks, you are recomposing.
  4. Photos — every four weeks, same light, same spot. Private, for you.

Why patience beats punishment

Crash plans work for exactly as long as you can stand them, and the rebound returns the fat without the muscle. A patient plan — a modest deficit, serious training, food your kitchen actually produces — is slower per week and much faster per year, because you are still on it in month six.

That is the whole philosophy: built with patience, not punishment.

Roman Urdu — khulasa

Wazan kam karna aur fat kam karna aik cheez nahin. Scale sab kuch napta hai: paani, khana, muscle, fat — sirf fat nahin. Isi liye tezi se girta wazan aksar muscle aur paani hota hai, aur jism kamzor lagta hai.

Body recomposition ka matlab: fat kam karo, muscle bachao ya barhao. Tareeqa: halka calorie deficit, sanjeedah strength training, kaafi protein, aur neend. Scale ahista chalega, lekin shakal tezi se badlegi.

Scale par roz ka number mat dekho — haftay ka average dekho, kamar ka size napo, aur apni strength ke numbers dekho. Agar lifts barh rahi hain aur kamar kam ho rahi hai, to kaam ho raha hai.

Sabar wala plan punishment walay plan se behtar hai, kyunke chhatay mahine tak aap us par qaim rehte hain. Yehi asal raaz hai.
